Stay at home gainzAlfonso Garibay
I hope you all have been safe and keeping your mind, body, and soul healthy. As for myself its been difficult to see myself again this year in a situation where the races that I was most looking forward too and training very hard for will not happen. But thanks to God, here at home healthy taking it one day at a time. Still training, in spite of COVID-19 causing closures of most business and gyms. Everyone is being encouraged to stay home as much as possible. So last night I cleaned and rearranged my gym room as it had become a storage for spare wheelchair parts, spare handcycle parts, tools, medical supplies storage, and some computer parts to boot lol. I had got accustomed to working out at LA Fitness and the 24hour fitness that is literally 1.5miles from house. So I neglected my home gym room but I find myself thankful that I still have it and a good amount of equipment to continue my strength and conditioning being a bachelor definitely has its pros and cons. I got a lot of work done and had a solid shoulder workout last night. The day before, I had a great handcycle workout on my indoor trainer. I had a new peak performance for 2020 in the form of a personal best 20 minute sustained power measured in watts, it is a good number better than what I did at Valley of The Sun Stage Race this year where I hit National Standard in the Individual Time Trial. This data certainly makes myself and my coach happy as it shows I am on my way back up and that I continue to improve my cycling performance. Definitely a good moral booster and motivation to stay focused and on track with my workouts.
Stay safe and God Bless you,
