Season review and new goals
I feel incredibly grateful for an unforgettable 2024 season, where I competed in my first World Cup and had the privilege of representing Team USA at the Paralympics. The support from Team PossAbilities and my community has been invaluable, helping me reach these milestones and pushing me to improve every day.
As I gear up for the 2025 season, I’m approaching training with new insights from my experience in Europe. My coach and I have developed a plan focused on building a strong fitness foundation, enhancing technical skills, and honing my race strategies. Given that 2025 isn’t a Paralympic Games year, I’m using it to push my performance in both para-cycling and able-bodied events, setting the stage for future success. My goal is to race extensively in the U23 category, where I can gain critical experience and build the endurance needed for consistent podium finishes in World Cups.
With the 2028 Paralympics and Olympics taking place in the United States, I’m aiming to compete in both arenas. The upcoming integration of U.S. Para-cycling and USA Cycling opens up the exciting possibility to qualify for both the Paralympic and Olympic Games. This dual qualification would be historic, and I’m committed to the training and growth it requires, knowing I’ll be in my prime at 22.
The journey is challenging, but I’m motivated by the opportunity to break barriers and represent athletes of all abilities on the world stage. I’m excited to continue pushing limits in the seasons ahead.
