2024!

2024 was my best and busiest year yet! Here’s some highlights from this past year….

2024 was my first full year on the USA National A team after my debut international season in 2023.

This race season started off early in January with World Cup 1 in Australia! This race was pretty exciting for me as Australia has always been a bucket list destination for a kid that grew up watching The Crocodile Hunter. On top of that we got to race on The BEND racetrack which is the largest motorsport track in the southern hemisphere. The 33 hour travel day to get there was a little rough though.

Next up I had the US Paralympics Cycling Open in Texas which was our selection event to qualify for the Team USA roster. I decided to drive this one from Pennsylvania to Texas over 2 days which is in some ways easier and less stressful than flying with so much equipment. Absolutely dominating my races at this event was a good feeling as I was building into the season.

World Cup 2 and 3 consisted of a 3 week trip to Europe traveling with Team PossAbilities. We started in Belgium and continued with an extra week of training there before heading to Italy for the final World Cup of the season. These races were also the start of of Team USA’s selection events to qualify for the Paralympic Team. You can read more about this trip in my previous blogs.

Then it was off to sunny California for the Team PossAbilities Time Trial in Loma Linda. This was the final selection event to earn points on the Paris rankings list. shortly after this race is when I got that phone call saying I’ve made the Paralympic Team!

A quick training camp with the Paralympic Team in Mallorca, Spain riding in some beautiful areas and a lot of amazing food!

PARIS 2024! I did a full blog on this experience a few months a go. Despite being sick and under performing its still #1 for 2024 and one of the highlights of my life.

We went to The White House! I never thought I would find myself in The White House but after the games all of Team USA got to go on a tour through it and meet The President!

One final trip of the year back to California for the Team PossAbilities Christmas Party where I got to meet a lot of new friends and personally thank everyone who supports Team PossAbilities, allowing me and my teammates to do what we do.

Continue to follow along because in a few months the 2025 race season will be starting off and I’ll be there stronger than ever in this first year on the Road To LA2028
