Hello friends,

I am so grateful for the team that surrounds me, it is true what they say that “it takes a village”. Part of my village is Sports Psychologist Cristina Nunes, whom I met during the Beijing Paralympic Games and continue to have access to her.

Up until then I had never talked to a sports psychologist, and she does such a good job. Now, leading to the next Games, we meet virtually every other week or even weekly at times.

She makes a big difference in clearing my mind of the noise so I can focus on training, stretching and optimizing my progress/performance.

She’s greatly responsible for making me believe in myself and getting over the “imposter syndrome” that often clouds me. Understandably -I’m one of the only athletes on our sport that doesn’t live in the snow and have way less on-snow training than most.

I get to the races and perform very close to the top athletes, bringing surprising results at times.

Thank you Cris for being part of my village, I’m looking fwd to continue to work with you!
