All in for World Championships

All in for World Championships

In preparation for the 2025 World Championships in Belgium, I decided to head to Colorado Springs for a focused altitude training block. Spending over three weeks at elevation gives me a solid window to adapt and improve my performance at the World Championships.

Training in Colorado has been a blast. The off-road riding options are endless, and the views around Pikes Peak never get old. Riding up Pikes Peak is always an adventure—yesterday, the weather turned on a dime and I got caught in a hailstorm during the descent! It was wild, but moments like that make the experience unforgettable.

I feel incredibly fortunate to have access to the world-class facilities at the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Center. Being able to focus solely on training and school creates the perfect environment for growth, both as an athlete and a student.

 Season Goals: Leadville & Worlds

I’ve set two primary goals for the rest of the season:

1. Leadville Trail 100 MTB This iconic 105-mile mountain bike race starts at over 10,000 feet and climbs to more than 13,000 feet. It’s one of the most legendary marathon MTB races in the world. I’m aiming for a strong result to improve my standing in the Lifetime GP U23 series. Beyond Leadville, I’ll be racing more road and gravel events to round out the season.

2. Road World Championships After my win in Ostend earlier this year, I’m all-in on chasing my first world championship jersey. The road race will come down to tactics and luck, but the time trial is where I’m focusing—it’s a discipline that rewards precision and preparation. Winning the TT at the first World Cup against reigning world champion Daniael showed me what’s possible. I’m training hard to peak for the TT in Belgium.

I’m excited to see what the rest of the season holds and grateful for the opportunity to keep improving and competing around the world.
