History Repeats Itself :(
Hi guys,
Not so good news for me, I hurt my low back, again -a little bit of a setback.
The same, almost exact injury happened last year, about a month before I head out to Chile for a camp. Same story now.
As I was getting more fit, increasing the number of workouts on the loading phase pre training camp, the injury happened during a weight session. I felt a little twinge on my low back, left side, and knew right away what it was. Maybe body was not fully recovered, + bad posture (maybe?) with heavy weights.
What I learned from this is that I have to consider my disability and acknowledge my body imbalances. My left side (amputee) is way less developed, so I need to strengthen it accordingly.
Lesson learned, now I’m focused on recovery and exercises that don’t put load on my back, as I know my whole body will get pounded in the upcoming training camp + 5 races.
Eyes and focus on the goal, Cortina in March ‘26, this is not a setback -it’s a lesson!
