Fall is Here

Fall is Here

With summer almost over its time to transition to fall training schedule which will be a very important part of preparation for 2026 racing schedule. The fall time is where I will be riding more miles trying to build a solid base for the upcoming season. Setting a good foundation in my training will set up for what I hope to be a better season than last year. Considering I had an injury and had to shut down my 2025 season early all I can do is go up from there I guess… right!??

After a few months with my new coach after being off for almost 6 weeks im finally starting to get some really good fitness back. The training plan has been very different from before but I’ve been having fun with this new plan. I’ve yet to be able to test how good my actual fitness is lately due to no racing right now. However, in mid November ill be heading out to Phoenix Arizona to do some fitness testing with my coach and while im out there ill be riding in the “Tour De Tucson”. The “Tour De Tucson” is essentially a 102 mile group ride only the plan is not to just do a group ride. Myself and 5 other handcyclists are going to try and complete the full 102 mile course in under 4 hours. That would an average of 25 miles per hour for 4 hours straight. Its going to be tough but that will be a perfect chance to see how good my fitness is and if changes are needed going forward. Stay tuned for upcoming in the coming months for how things are going and if the 4 hour mark at “Tour De Tucson” can be achieved.
