Florida World Cup

Hi everyone! Another month and another event in the books.

This one was a World Cup in Florida which was a much shorter trip than usual. It was also a mid season, mid busiest time of my life event so I came in pretty wiped out and it showed. While my performance wasn’t great it also wasn’t unexpected. As much as I would love to be at 100% for every event sometimes it just isn’t possible.

That said things with work and life are resolving and the summer is looking strong. I’ll be able to refocus on fencing and attend some dedicated Paralympic level training camps in Canada and Italy with some of the best in the world. I am also going to restart saber, my athleticism has improved a lot over the last year and so have my contacts with saber coaches. Both of which will give me an edge.

My next event might be in Turkey in June if I can make it, if not it will be in Thailand in September. I’ll be training hard all summer and looking to do better in the next one.
