Recreational and Adaptive Sports

Our recreational and adaptive sports program is designed to provide various sports options for the recreational and elite-level athlete. Some sports are adaptive only while our integrated sports are open to both disabled and abled-bodied participants. We believe in building community through sports! Our adaptive sports options include:

Adaptive Baseball  – Our Xtreme baseball team welcomes players of every ability level, especially those with cognitive and developmental disabilities. Contact Andy Pelton for more information at  (909) 238-2710.

Wheelchair Basketball –  We have a men’s, women’s, and youth wheelchair basketball team. For information for the Rolling Bears (men’s adult team) contact David Cazares at (909) 200-6913. For information on the Rolling Cubs (youth team) contact Carl Vereen at cvereen@aol.com. For information for the Shield Maidens (women’s team) contact Molly Bloom at mjbloom@g.ucla.edu.

Adaptive Flag Football – Our Xtreme football team welcomes players of every ability level, especially those with cognitive and developmental disabilities. Contact Andy Pelton for more information at  (909) 238-2710.

Cycling – Integrated Sport. We host a group bike ride on the last Sunday of every month. For more information click HERE!

Adaptive Swimming – Our members love the water! That’s why we offer Summer fun options for every ability level. Find out more HERE!

Adaptive Winter Sports – We partner with the US Adaptive and Recreational Center (USARC) to provide challenged athletes with an opportunity to learn how to ski. Contact the PossAbilities office for more information at (909) 558-6384.

    Hello, I am a physical therapist at a neurological rehab facility. I work with patients that have had a spinal cord injury and am interested in showing them wheelchair basketball. Is it possible to schedule a trial of adaptive basketball?
