End year sum…

End year sum…

To my sponsor

This year has been an interesting year for me, at the same time it has been a bit challenging for me. I started my season in February in Los Alamitos race on Base. Where I finished strong at 1st place in my class. With continuous training for my upcoming races and looking forward to be on the podium. In April 2017, I raced at the Possabilities Triathlon. I was very excited to be racing along the side of one of my best friends, and teammate Andre Barbieri. As we both finished strong first place in our class. Overall I was happy with the outcome of the race and all members coming together. I did have a stumble in May of 2017 as I injured and broke my clavicle in the Redlands bicycle classic road race in yucaipa. Despite of my broken shoulder I still managed to finish strong as 2nd place in my class, MC4. At the end of May, I had surgery and was kept on bed rest with restrictions with no training and having to cancel all my races for the season. At that point I was feeling frustrated and anxious, wanting to continue my training and finish my races, yet I  couldn’t. I stayed focused with patience and started the process to recovery. At the end of August 2017, I was clear from my restrictions and was given the green light to start training again. With all these setbacks, I did have some positive things happen for me that year. I got married to the love of my life in July, which brought me much joy and stability. God has blessed us with a bundle of joy, a baby girl to be born Jan 2018. I also was introduced to my new coach Diego Olivieri. Who has been very helpful and very consistent with enduring me and my sport. He has given me new goals with a different mind set, as we plan for a new year with bigger and better achievements in the triathlon world. I’m very fortunate to know that I am still involved very much with the program that sponsors me and looking forward to having a better year than the last. Thank you for all the support, guidance and opportunities Possabilities gives me.
