Adaptive Sports

Recreational and Adaptive Sports – All of our programs have been cancelled until further notice.

Our recreational and adaptive sports program is designed to provide recreational and elite-level athlete sporting opportunities. Some sports are adaptive only while our integrated sports are open to both disabled and abled-bodied participants. We believe in building community through sports! Our adaptive sports options include:

Adaptive Baseball  – Our Xtreme baseball team welcomes players of every ability level, especially those with cognitive and developmental disabilities. Contact Andy Pelton for more information at  (909) 238-2710.

Wheelchair Basketball –  We have a men’s, women’s, and youth wheelchair basketball team. For information for the Rolling Bears (men’s adult team) contact David Cazares at (909) 200-6913. For information on the Rolling Cubs (youth team) contact Carl Vereen at cvereen@aol.com. For information for the Shield Maidens (women’s team) contact Molly Bloom at mjbloom@g.ucla.edu.

Adaptive Flag Football – Our Xtreme football team welcomes players of every ability level, especially those with cognitive and developmental disabilities. Contact Andy Pelton for more information at  (909) 238-2710.

Cycling – Integrated Sport. We host a group bike ride on the last Sunday of every month.

Adaptive Swimming – Our members love the water! That’s why we offer Summer fun options for every ability level.

Adaptive Winter Sports – We partner with the US Adaptive and Recreational Center (USARC) to provide challenged athletes with an opportunity to learn how to ski.

    Hello, I am a physical therapist at a neurological rehab facility. I work with patients that have had a spinal cord injury and am interested in showing them wheelchair basketball. Is it possible to schedule a trial of adaptive basketball?
