Races post Covid:

Hey guys,

I had this plan all set up for the 2020/2021 season. I would do 3 races then would be home in a timely manner for the birth of our baby. Covid had other plans and those races were all canceled.

Baby Maile was born on a very special day and thankfully it all went well. There would be 2 more races in the calendar that I was not going to be able to participate.

Of course, as luck would have it, those races happened as they figured out a way with Covid —14 days quarantining in a hotel in the country of the race, before the event itself. So about 20 days away. That seems to be the norm for sporting events in the current Covid landscape.
There’s no chance I would have been able to do that. Not with a newborn; not with work. Thankfully, not a lot of athletes did, so my position in the rankings wasn’t badly affected.

The dream is still on, we have less than a year to go for the Winter Paralympics in Beijing 2022. Trust me, I’ll get very busy in the next few months, specially leading to the games, starting in about November… I’ll keep you posted on my efforts!
