First Ride Back in the HandcycleRyen Reed
It’s been just about two years since I’ve been able to ride/train in a handcycle. As I continue to reach my peak and push boundaries, I’m constantly trying to train in all different areas. I’m beyond grateful to be able to train with some of my teammates. Zimri, Alfonso, and I had a great training ride along the Santa Ana River Trail from San Bernardino to Riverside and back. We even did a bonus climb up Mt. Rubidoux in Riverside before heading back to San Bernardino. My arms were sore by the time we got back but it felt so great to be back out there since my two car accidents and my move from Colorado. Training has been going great and I can tell I’m getting stronger on and off the bike each week. I’m so happy to be living back in California and training alongside my teammates who work hard every single week. I’m looking forward to finally getting back to racing. Thank you all for the support!
