Moments of uncertainty

Hello guys, As I'm transitioning into snowboarding, lots of questions come to mind... like: --do I really have it in me, to undertake such a challenge? I'm not getting any younger... I am a father now, priorities changed a bit --I don't have the same amount of time to devote to sports, as much as I'm trying. I wanna make sure my daughter has love and my full attention, because she deserves my best! Costs also start coming -day care isn't cheap! Still, I'm...

Educational Fair Las Vegas

Gidday folks! As I'm returning from a working trip I was thinking how grateful and lucky I am. Freedom Innovations had me as their patient model in Vegas for an Educational Fair put on by Hanger Prosthetics. It's a beautiful event that brings industry, clinicians, prosthetists and patients from all over the country. There's workshops, classes and very inspirational speeches and shows. I have been using Freedom equipment for over 5 years, helping with testing and feedback. Doesn't take me long to realize...

New year – New challenges

Happy 2019 everyone, let's wish and work for a great year for all of us! Winter is my favorite season! Temps here are not too bad -enough where you can wear puffy jackets if you want; surf is up -my favorite waves light up; weather is great for training; there's rain -this year has been a great one, everything is green and water is gushing on creeks & falls! My snowboard journey has started, it is a moving process. All the parts...

New Bike

The past year and a half has been challenging. I didn't get to race at all really due to recovering from a bike accident and a car accident, which both involved vehicles. I've been training nonstop in the gym and getting my equipment ready for the new race season. I finally got a handcycle I can call my own and I can't wait to finally race in it. It's been through many adjustments and probably needs a few more but...

2018 – Busiest year of my life in review

Hey guys! What a year... incredible ups, but also strong downs. I’m thankful for all places I’ve been, raced, worked & enjoyed. Think about a year pretty much living out of your suitcase. Still, I had time for my wife, since (most of) my trips were quick strike missions. There were race trips; convention work trips and a lot of overnight Irvine trips (working with Freedom Innovations, testing a state of the art knee they’re developing). Talking about racing, the witches were loose...

Snowboarding World Cup at Dubai (?!!)

Hey guys, My sports life has just turned 360 degrees as of last week! As most of you know, my category in Paratriathlon is cut off from Tokyo2020. So... I've been thinking about a dream of trying for Winter Olympics in snowboarding, and my 1st opportunity just came up. It all happened faster than I wanted to, but I have been in touch with the Brazilian Snow Federation and the opportunity to get into the rankings presented itself and I had to act...

“A change of career”

Greetings to everyone that follows Team PossAbilities! For those who are not aware, please refer to my post “Gold Coast World Championships Series - The 2018 Finals”: The sport of triathlon is taking a back seat (not my decision), so I decided to change sports, and I’m reaching out to announce that. I’ve been in touch with the Brazilian Snow Sports Federation and I have news: I am getting into snowboard racing!! There’s an indoor competition happening in early November, an indoor course...
